successful business women america

Am I a dumb Thai woman?
I have dated a very successful man for 4 years. We have our ups-and-downs, but we truely love one another. However, I have no intention to stay in America forever. I would love to be able to take care of my parents and grand parents. To many extent I know many Thai people will think I am so stupid to leave a RICH AMERICAN BOY who are more than happy to support me. However, I have my own goals and would love to make it on my own. I hate an idea of depending on someone. I grew up alone in foreign country–I am very independent and idealist.
I am moving back to Thailand. I am worried about Thai cultures. Many Thais do not value strong and independent woman like me. Sometimes, I am confused of my role as a woman. Should I soft and allow a man to take care of me? Or should I be tough and take care of my own business?
You are living in Thailand. I hope you understand how I feel? Any advice? Thank you!
“I have no intention to stay in America forever”
You have answered your own question…by the sounds of your B/F, he will never leave the US…so if you want to stay with your B/F you will never leave the US either…so ultimately you will never be happy…and will always question…what if…
The best advice I can give…is give Thailand a go for an extended term see how you get on….if you have a proper relationship with your B/F…he will understand its something you have to do…if Thailand doesnt work out..you can always go back to the US and B/F…and would guess at that time sin-sot would be in order
To give you some advice, some gave to me a long time ago…”there is only one person you can ultimately depend on….yourself”…
Being tied down to someone who will take care of you, can be a bad situation to be in as well…
